Meet the Board

Our Board members are the driving force behind the Chamber. They are focused on delivering realistic objectives to propel Fremantle forward. They all bring professionalism and a wealth of business experience to the Chamber and all commit their time and energy to ensuring growth and prosperity for the local business community. 

The Fremantle Chamber of Commerce has a strong, involved, informed membership whose needs in representation and business will be met by a professional staff and committed Board.

The objectives of the Chamber are:

  • To effectively represent the commercial, industrial and professional community of Fremantle and promote the City's economic, cultural and environmental development.
  • To take an active part in all matters affecting the City and State with the view of improving, promoting and protecting Fremantle business.
  • To establish harmony with government, business and community groups.
  • To assist in the promoting of international trade through exports and keep members informed of trade opportunities.
  • To keep members informed of matter affecting trade, commerce and industry and give comprehensive service according to their requirements.

Our Board Members

Ivan - Dzeba - President
Ivan Dzeba

Ivan has been immersed in Fremantle's hospitality indusrt for 20 years, and at the helm of Benny's Bar & Cafe for more than 15. A member of the Chamber Board since 2012, Ivan has led the Chamber's Tourism Committee for 18 months and is looking foward to leading the Chamber to expand reach and build unity in the respresnetation of sectors.



Franco Andreone - Vice President

Vice President

Franco has twenty years specialist experience in urban planning, city revitalisation, place management, project management, development and implementation of City Visions.

He currently holds the position of Manager Fremantle Waterfront Development with Fremantle Ports and is working on planning precincts to revitalise the VQ Waterfront.

Lee Bartlett ACA CA

Lee is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. He is Chief Financial Officer and Director of TAMS Group, a diverse national marine services business based out of Fremantle. Prior to joining TAMS Group 5 years ago, Lee was an external auditor for BDO LLP, specialising in owner managed businesses and large motor dealerships. Lee has been recently appointed as Company Secretary for the Fremantle Foundation, a Fremantle based not-for-profit whose central role is to encourage philanthropic giving.

Anthony Van Der Wielen

Board Member

Anthony specialises in both residential & commercial real estate, experienced in the industry since 1996. He established Empire Property Solutions in 2003, a company that specialises in residential real estate. In 2012, Anthony also bought into Fremantle Property Services alongside Gerry Lovegrove. An avid football follower and past player, Anthony enjoys a working relationship with many AFL players employing his keen negotiation skills to manage their real estate portfolios and  supervising their playing contracts with AFL clubs, media & sponsorship opportunities.

Board Member

Jamie’s family has operated businesses within Fremantle for a number of generations. He currently a Director of Fremantle Markets Pty Ltd, a family company that operates the Fremantle Markets on South Terrace and he lives and breathes the pulse of the Fremantle Community. Jamie is a CPA and has many years experience as a tax accountant and financial controller for a number of businesses including some in the not for profit sector. Jamie has been on the Board of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce as the Treasurer for a number of years moving from strenght to strenght.

Tony Riggio
Tony Riggio
Board Member

Tony is the MD of StageWorks Corporation P/L and Animatronic Engineering P/L in Fremantle. He has 30 years experience in the culture-leisure and tourism industries and has worked throughout Australia, Asia and North America. Through Silk Road (Chengdu) Exhibition Co Ltd in Sichuan Province, PRC, he manufactures animatronics and produces travelling exhibitions for the International museum, zoo and theme park markets.

Tony is a Commissioner of the Asian Pacific Commission of UNIMA, based in Chengdu, PRC and a former Director and Deputy Chair of DADDA LTD, a not-for-profit arts agency working with people with disabilities. 

Virginia Guest
Board Member

Virginia is the Director of Stand Property & Management Services, a facilities and property focused management company. She is also a senior commercial lawyer in private practice and has been in the legal industry for over 10 years.  Virginia’s business and legal experience has exposed her to a range of commercial dealings with business owners, not for profit organisations, government entities and large private corporations from various industries.  Her objective is make a positive contribution to her clients, their business and other businesses in the community.

Abby McDowell
Board Member

Abby has worked in Fremantle for the past six years and is passionate about selling the "Freo experience" to visitors and locals alike. She is the Marketing Manager at the iconic Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges in the heart of our City. Abby has over 12 years of marketing and event promotion experience in Perth and back home in New Zealand.

Bram Newbold
Board Member

Originally from Melbourne, Bram has lived and worked in and about the City of Fremantle for over a decade. Most recently, he played an integral role in establishing Quest Apartment Hotels' three latest serviced apartment properties across Perth's CBD, before bedding down as a General Manager and Franchisee of the brand new 4.5 Star Quest Fremantle. With over 25 years of Hospitality experience across Victoria and Western Australia - six years as General Manager - he is extremely proud to be a part of the latest urban renewal of Fremantle's historic West End! Having held a position on the Tourism Committee with the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce since December 2016, he is thrilled to be able to join fellow colleagues at Board level, and to getting on with re-energising tourism across our beautiful Port City.
