Here is a little more about Kate Flower
For more than 25 years Kate has been in the business of food: cooking, serving, managing and creating. She knows front of house, back of house and everything in between. There have been long days, late nights and despite the challenges she has never swayed from further exploring the ever evolving food industry.
Her lifetime apprenticeship in the food industry began in Perth and has provided a great adventure both here, interstate and overseas. Time spent living in glorious, food-obsessed Tasmania cemented her appreciation of artisan food producers who grow, create and sell food as we used to know it. The people, the places and their passion for good food fed her growing desire to bring their stories to the fore.
Kate spent four years creating recipes and content for the Fresh lift-out of The West Australian newspaper, working with a stylist and photographer to create images to accompany my approachable recipes. During this time, she also wrote restaurant reviews for both the Fresh lift-out and the WA Good Food Guide.
From cook to caterer, events manager to food consultant, she has worn many hats during her career and learned from some of the best in the business. This diverse experience affords Kate an innate understanding of food in all its forms. Using images and words as her utensils, Kate will work with food-driven brands to develop and share their unique stories through food marketing, recipe development, writing and styling.
Kate Flower Food can provide a single service or bring the whole production along. Either way Kate is happiest when working with equally driven people, small businesses or corporations to share new food stories and her passion is championing small West Australian producers.
