We are acutely aware though that the greater Fremantle region, and our membership base, includes an incredible diversity of businesses. From large seafood, wool and wine companies whose documents we are madly stamping as they race to get their products into overseas markets at the moment, to marine and industrial services companies looking at new opportunities, to an array of professional services right through to our technology creative industries sector gearing up for events like Start up Fest. It is such a busy time of year for everyone.
One thing we all have in common is the unique opportunity this time of year provides to reconnect and build our networks – no matter what industry we are in.
They say networking is more about farming than harvesting and there is no better time to pick one or two events or activities and get out there. Referrals don’t come our way if we sit in our offices and expect the phone to ring. They come to those who refer others, those who are interested in others and those who leave a positive impression.
