“Ready? No one is ever ready, my boy. But some do what they plan to do and some never will. The difference between the two is that the first group understand that they need to start somewhere, so they do so. Straight away.” Chris Murray, Business Coach

There is a strange atmosphere in the air as we plan for something we know is coming, but are not really sure how, or what will unfold. In this Chamber Weekly we have tried to bring together as many resources and information that we have to hand on our position on COVID for our local businesses, templates and resources to navigate the challenges we may face in our workplaces, information on new export and business grants and the events we have planned to still bring you together, and celebrate the fact that we have such great tools at our finger tips to keep us healthy and well.

I have been so disheartened to hear our front line staff in so many of our businesses taking the hard hits as the anti-vaxers vent their anger on those at the doors, and in the venues, doing their best to manage the new world and mandates that our part of our new world. Fremantle prides itself on being an inclusive community, and part of that is being a safe community. Vaccinations protect each one of us, and taking your views out with aggression on those who are doing their best to provide a safe environment is just not appropriate.

On a happier note, we have around 15 places left for our incredible FRIDA SIP N PAINT event on Tuesday night. Details are below. No art experience is necessarily – who knows you might surprise yourself in all the chatting, and sipping, and come away with a new painting to put on your wall.

I so hope to see you there.

Danicia
