Success is in the Journey but the View from the Top is the Reward Larry Stevens, BBC Scriptwriter

Perspective is a wonderful thing, and reaching the top of anything – be it a mountain bike ride, a work or personal milestone, project or even a deadline, gives us a sense of accomplishment. It is a moment for reflection and celebration.

In our fast world we often forgot to pause and take a moment to take in the view from the top, breathe and celebrate.

This week, we got that opportunity as we stood a high on the top floor of the new Little Lane Apartment Development at their Top Out Ceremony on Friday evening.

It was poignant that past Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt was there on the week his election to the upper house for the South Metro Region was officially recognised. The view from the top across the newly developed Kings Square, Fremantle Park, and out to Arthurs Head showed what an impressive centre Fremantle now is for residents and business. The push for inner city living, density and a new vision for Fremantle is in many ways the legacy Brad leaves after 10 years as the Mayor of the City of Fremantle.

Congratulations to Chamber members Yolk Property on this “top out” for Little Lane. We look forward to seeing this development, and the positive impact it will have on the Westgate Mall area in the near future.

I am really look forward to the first of our series of our Fremantle from the Inside Tours on this Sunday. The focus of this particular tour is bringing your family to work to see how much the City offers families during school holidays, ways to occupy your kids while you are hard at work, or to just relax and enjoy on a weekend. It will feature another great view from the top of Chamber members – the Tourist Wheel and some decadent ice-cream tasting. There are about 8 places left on this tour if you are keen to bring the troops along on Sunday and join us. It is also a great way to find new places to refer visiting family and friends.

There are a lot of great events for the Chamber coming up so make sure you scroll right through the Chamber Weekly edition linked below to diarise and book yourself into them all at our events pageEvents & Forums.
