Although rewarding, working in the Hospitality sector can be isolating, unsociable, high pressure & extremely competitive. Mental health is emerging as a major challenge for hospitality businesses with 80% of workers reporting they are suffering from symptoms including anxiety, depression, stress & addiction. Healthy Mind Menu are developing a Mentally Healthy Hospitality Toolkit, promoting mental health & wellbeing in hospitality & would like your help in Co-designing the toolkit. So have your say in how you’d like to create a healthier work environment for yourself & your workers.
This session is based on the exploration of the Healthy Mind Pyramid, a framework designed by a registered psychologist, emphasising sleep, nutrition, connectedness, physical activity, & downtime. Tailored specifically for hospitality workers, this model promotes a positive work/life balance, empowering individuals to manage their mental health effectively. Through practical exercises participants will identify personalised wellbeing strategies for themselves & their venue.
