Celebrate International Women's Day with Little Creatures Fremantle
As Little Creatures Brewery marks its 25th anniversary, it celebrates not only a legacy of pioneering craft beer in Australia but also its continued commitment to diversity and innovation in the brewing industry. Since its inception, Little Creatures has been at the forefront, introducing hop-forward American Pale Ale to the Australian market and inspiring the craft beer movement we see today. The brewery has also set the blueprint for integrating hospitality with brewing, creating vibrant community hubs across the country.
This year, as the Brewery honours this milestone, it also turns its attention to International Women’s Day, reinforcing its mission to challenge gender norms in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Little Creatures Brewery is proud to lead the way with more female representation in its brewery team than any other brewing facility—30% of the Brewery team members are women, and an impressive 70% of senior hospitality management positions are held by women at Little Creatures Fremantle.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the talented women from the Brewery’s hospitality, sales, and brewing teams have joined forces to craft a special beer: the Jane Dear Californian Cream Ale. More than just a beer, this brew is a tribute to the remarkable women shaping the industry and a celebration of inclusivity and progress. Often dubbed a “lawnmower beer,” this easy-drinking style embodies the conversations the Brewery is driving—about challenging gender roles and ensuring that future generations continue to break barriers.
The women behind the scenes at Little Creatures—whether in production, sales, or hospitality—know firsthand the dedication and resilience required to thrive in this industry. This Cream Ale, brewed with pale and flaked maize, Cascade and Citra hops, and finished with Nova Lager yeast, symbolizes strength, passion, and the shared experience of a hard day’s work. It’s a beer brewed by women, for everyone, and a reminder that we all deserve to raise a glass and celebrate.
