In partnership with the City of Fremantle, The Fremantle Chamber of Commerce invites you to explore LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace (with an intersectional lens).
This workshop will explore practical things participants can do to create inclusion in their organisation. Content will include conversation around LGBTQIA+ inclusive language, what it means to be an LGBTQIA+ ally, pronouns, unpacking the acronym, and how businesses can play a role in creating safe, and respectful environments for LGBTQIA+ folks.
“This customised training program is for those who would like to provide a more inclusive service to their employees and clientele,” said Chrissie Maus, Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, CEO.
“Facilitated by a local person from the LGBTQ community, participants will learn through the sharing of lived experience to develop a deeper understanding of LGBTQIA+ communities, and gain better insight into sexual orientation, sex, body characteristics, gender and gender expression.
“It is important service providers are invested in the wellbeing of all clients and consumers ensuring they are delivering inclusive and culturally appropriate services. It is about providing access, meeting duty of care and effectively addressing LGBTI health needs to provide a positive experience,” Ms Maus added.
