Artwalk Freo returns with biggest event yet
In late 2014, a small group of established Fremantle artists came together spontaneously with the idea to open their homes and studios to the public for one weekend. At short notice, over 400 people visited and Artwalk Freo was born. Artwalk Freo is back this year better than ever, spanning over 3 weekends in May.

Fremantle Inner Harbour dredging
Maintenance dredging is required to remove sediments that have accumulated in the Inner Harbour from the Swan River estuary since dredging was undertaken in 2010. The dredging will allow safe access for ships into the Inner Harbour, and ensure the berths remain deep enough for larger container vessels.


Draft Strategic Community Plan Ready for Public Comment
Feedback, comments, and ideas provided by the community through our Let's Talk, Freo! public engagement program have been incorporated into the draft SCP. Your feedback will help the City put the final touches on the language inside the draft document.

Environmental Protection Authority opens public comment on level of assessment for new Kwinana Port Development
The Proposal is to construct and operate a new multimodal port in the Kwinana Industrial Area (KIA), approximately 30 km south of Perth. At this initial stage of the Environmental Impact Assessment process, comment is simply sought on whether or not the EPA should assess a proposal and, if so, what level of assessment is considered appropriate. This opportunity to comment closes on March 25.
